Christians The Chosen People Of God

Christians The Chosen People Of God!

Christians The Chosen People Of God. “There is one body and one Spirit. In the same way you were called to share one hope. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over everything, through everything, and in everything. God’s favor has been given to each of us. It was measured out to us by Christ who gave it.”  (Ephesians 4:4-7)

Why Are Christians The Chosen People Of God?

The whole entire subject is a family affair: we all came from Adam and Eve, then from Noah and his sons- Shem, Ham, and Japheth. We are all related. The issue of liking or disliking one people group vs. another is nothing more than brothers fighting. To dislike one group is to dislike your own relatives.  Eve is the mother of all living. We are all related. There is no such thing as “races” of people. There is nothing more than ethnic groups based upon a common family tree and geographic location. So, how then can one be superior over another, based upon nothing more than their bloodline? We all spring from the same root. We all started from the same bloodline. The origin of all mankind is from a single family: Adam and Eve, then Noah and his wife. Now, at the end of time, we come together under one more man- Jesus. For now there is neither Jew nor Gentile, we are one new man.  Therefore, now at the end of time, the discussion is not one of excluding all people groups for the sake of the one. No. It is now the inclusion of all people groups under Messiah. Whoever believes in Jesus are the chosen of God, because He is the chosen one! All previous claims to being the children of God are made forfeit and are without standing before the courts of Heaven.

One New Man In Messiah Jesus!

“He brought an end to the commandments and demands found in Moses’ Teachings so that he could take Jewish and non-Jewish people and create one new humanity in himself. So he made peace. He also brought them back to God in one body by his cross, on which he killed the hostility. He came with the Good News of peace for you who were far away and for those who were near. So Jewish and non-Jewish people can go to the Father in one Spirit. That is why you are no longer foreigners and outsiders but citizens together with God’s people and members of God’s family. You are built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets. Christ Jesus himself is the cornerstone. In him all the parts of the building fit together and grow into a holy temple in the Lord. Through him you, also, are being built in the Spirit together with others into a place where God lives.” (Ephesians 2:15-22)

If this is the absolute truth, let me ask the following questions:

Q) If an unbelieving Gentile accepts Jesus, what is he called?

A) A Christian!

Q) If an unbelieving Jew accepts Jesus, what is he called?

A) A Christian!

So, one new man in Messiah, we are all Christian! Not “Gentile Spiritual Jewish Christian,” or “Messianic Jewish Reformed Christian”- just Christian!

*We have been called that since Antioch: “The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.”  -Act 11:26a. The Jewish fathers of our faith, the disciples took to and accepted the new name: “Christian.” But for some reason, when a Jew accepts Jesus today they still want to be called a Jew, or Messianic Jew, despite the example of the disciples. This is arrogant and prideful. It is also a rejection of being one new man in Messiah.

Salvation To The Jew First

*Salvation was presented to the Jewish nation first.

“For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.” (Romans 1:16)

Now Salvation Sent To All Nations

Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)

The Chosen People of God

“Now it is not as though God’s word has failed. Clearly, not everyone descended from Israel is part of Israel or a descendant of Abraham. However, as Scripture says, “Through Isaac your descendants will carry on your name.” This means that children born by natural descent from Abraham are not necessarily God’s children. Instead, children born by the promise are considered Abraham’s descendants. For example, this is what the promise said, “I will come back at the right time, and Sarah will have a son.” (Romans 9:6-9)

*Here we find Paul using the illustration of Isaac and Ishmael: Ishmael being born of the flesh through the servant of Abraham- Hagar. The other child, Isaac, being born of the promise of God through God’s Spirit with Sarah, and Isaac receiving the promise of God to be the chosen of God.

In the same manner, those who believe in the promise of the Son “Jesus,” through the spirit of God and His maidservant Mary, become children of the promise. All others who refuse to accept the child of promise “Jesus,” revert back to spiritual Ishmael and Hagar. Spiritually meaning: returning to Eve and retaining their fallen state, falling from God’s grace and from Abraham being their spiritual father, reverting back to Adam once again being their father, and rejecting the 2nd Spiritual Adam “Jesus” and the benefits of faith in Him. So, all Jews who do not accept Jesus, reject all the promised blessings and benefits of father Abraham, and accept having no sacrifice for their sins -receiving damnation upon themselves.

So Who Is A Real Jew?

Jesus Declares

“I know your works, oppression, and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and they are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.” (Revelation 2:9)

“Behold, I give some of the synagogue of Satan, of those who say they are Jews, and they are not, but lie. Behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.”  (Revelation 3:9)

Paul Clarifies That A Jew Is Spiritual (Believers In The Child Of Promise)

“For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit not in the letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God.” (Romans 2:28-29)

“Remember that once you were not Jewish physically. Those who called themselves “the circumcised” because of what they had done to their bodies called you “the uncircumcised.” Also, at that time you were without Christ. You were excluded from citizenship in Israel, and the pledges God made in his promise were foreign to you. You had no hope and were in the world without God. But now through Christ Jesus you, who were once far away, have been brought near by the blood of Christ. So he is our peace. In his body he has made Jewish and non-Jewish people one by breaking down the wall of hostility that kept them apart.”  (Ephesians 2:11-14)

“Or is God the God of Jews only? Isn’t he the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, since indeed there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith, and the uncircumcised through faith.”  (Romans 3:29-30)

We find that those who believe in Jesus through faith, have actually believed the promise made to Abraham. All those who believe are spiritual Israel, having made themselves spiritual Jews through faith in Jesus as Messiah. Conversely, those who have not believed in Jesus have nullified the promise of Abraham on their own behalves.  And have since ceased from being Israel or even Jewish. Not that they cannot return again through faith in Jesus, which is my hope.

Belief & Unbelief

“The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own, and those who were his own didn’t receive him. But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name: who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”  (John 1:9-13)

IF You Believe You Are Spiritual Israel.

“For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him. For, “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:11-13)

Jesus Declares:

“I have other sheep, which are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will hear my voice. They will become one flock with one shepherd.”  (John 10:16)

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light: who in time past were no people, but now are God’s people, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” (1 Peter 2:9-10)

“So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God, being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone; in whom the whole building, fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.”  (Ephesians 2:19-22)

The Real and Complete Family Of God

“But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”  (John 4:23-24)

“But he answered him who spoke to him, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?” He stretched out his hand towards his disciples, and said, “Behold, my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.”  (Matthew 12:48-50)

No Jesus – No God – No Hope – No Salvation

It was Prophesied:

“Therefore Yahweh, the God of Israel, says, ‘I said indeed that your house, and the house of your father, should walk before me forever.’ But now Yahweh says, ‘Far be it from me; for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me will be cursed.” (1 Samuel 2:30)

Jesus Declares:

“The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand. One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”  (John 3:35-36)

“Everyone therefore who confesses me before men, him I will also confess before my Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies me before men, him I will also deny before my Father who is in heaven.”  (Matthew 10:32-33)

John, A Disciple of Jewish Descent, Declares:

“Whoever denies the Son, the same doesn’t have the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also.”  (1 John 2:23)

“The testimony is this, that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has the life. He who doesn’t have God’s Son doesn’t have the life.” (1 John 5:11-12)

“Whoever transgresses and doesn’t remain in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. He who remains in the teaching, the same has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you, and doesn’t bring this teaching, don’t receive him into your house, and don’t welcome him, for he who welcomes him participates in his evil deeds.” (2 John 1:9-11)

*Many of the descendants of Noah’s son Shem, of Semitic ethnicity, remain blind to the gospel. Continuing to call themselves Jews, yet are not Jews. Calling themselves Israel, yet are not Israel.

“What then? What Israel doth seek after, this it did not obtain, and the chosen did obtain, and the rest were hardened, according as it hath been written, ‘God gave to them a spirit of deep sleep, eyes not to see, and ears not to hear,’ —unto this very day,” (Romans 11:7-8)

“We are not like Moses. He kept covering his face with a veil. He didn’t want the people of Israel to see the glory fading away. However, their minds became closed. In fact, to this day the same veil is still there when they read the Old Testament. It isn’t removed, because only Christ can remove it. Yet, even today, when they read the books of Moses, a veil covers their minds. But whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. This Lord is the Spirit. Wherever the Lord’s Spirit is, there is freedom. As all of us reflect the Lord’s glory with faces that are not covered with veils, we are being changed into his image with ever-increasing glory. This comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:13-18)

Does it apply to Israel & The Jews?

*This often misquoted and misapplied verse was originally given to Father Abraham:

“I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who treats you with contempt. All the families of the earth will be blessed through you.”  (Genesis 12:3)

*Often they use transference to what is applied to faithful Abraham, and then try to apply it to all his descendants, even if they have rejected God and His Son Jesus.

*The real question here is: who then is Israel?

You see, Abraham was told his descendants will be more than the stars of the sky.

“Yahweh brought him outside, and said, “Look now toward the sky, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” He said to Abram, “So will your offspring be.” (Genesis 15:5)

Abraham was also told that “ALL Nations” will be blessed through him.

“Through your descendant all the nations of the earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.”  (Genesis 22:18)

*So, how exactly was this promise applied?

“Even as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.” Know therefore that those who are of faith, the same are children of Abraham. The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Good News beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you all the nations will be blessed.” So then, those who are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.” (Galatians 3:6-9)

*All those stars represented all nations and peoples who believed in Jesus.

“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:27-29)

Jesus prophesied that many will lose their heritage and many will take their place.

“Strive to enter in by the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will seek to enter in, and will not be able. When once the master of the house has risen up, and has shut the door, and you begin to stand outside, and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ then he will answer and tell you, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’ Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.’ He will say, ‘I tell you, I don’t know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity.’ There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets, in God’s Kingdom, and yourselves being thrown outside. They [The Nations] will come from the east, west, north, and south, and will sit down in God’s Kingdom.”  (Luke 13:24-29)

When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to those who followed, “Most certainly I tell you, I haven’t found so great a faith, not even in Israel. I tell you that many will come from the east and the west, and will sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven, but the children of the Kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”  (Matthew 8:10-12)

*Therefore this promise of: “I will bless those who bless you,” is not now just given to Israel, it’s not just given to Jews. It is now given to all nations, people, and multitudes- whoever believes in Jesus and are called Christian! Being snatched away from all unbelievers regardless of their heritage. Zionism tries to highjack the promises of God through faith, and steal them back again from all Christians: “Jew or Gentile,” and throws them as vomit before the unbeliever to trample like dogs- trying to destroy the Gospel.

The Sin Of Peter

It is a sin to prefer the “Jews” over other people groups. This is what Peter and Paul got in a fight about. This is also what is being taught in churches today. That somehow Gentile Christians are second class believers and the Jew as an unbeliever is superior in relationship towards God. This is a lie of Satan. When in reality, they all are one in the same, with no difference between them. They both have the same standing and opportunity through faith in Jesus. Yet, Pharisees have infiltrated Christianity and spread demonic lies of Satan. They are trying to undermine the power of Christ and His redemptive act, hoping to defy the power of His blood, ensnaring the people once again to a system that cannot save your soul.

Let Review:

“But when Peter came to Antioch, I resisted him to his face, because he stood condemned. For before some people came from James, he ate with the Gentiles. But when they came, he drew back and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. And the rest of the Jews joined him in his hypocrisy; so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy. But when I saw that they didn’t walk uprightly according to the truth of the Good News, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live as the Gentiles do, and not as the Jews do, why do you compel the Gentiles to live as the Jews do?”  (Galatians 2:11-14)

  • *We must never show partiality or preferential treatment to anyone because of their heritage, wealth, status, etc.

“But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors.” (James 2:9)

  • The Only Exception To This Is Spiritual

“Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.” (Galatians 6:9-10)

Recap:

All those that believe in Jesus are part of Spiritual Israel, grafted into the commonwealth of the Jews. All Jews who reject their Messiah are broken off and are no longer part of God’s covenant relationship first instituted with Abraham. Jesus has taken all of humanity and called God’s children back home. It matters not your heritage or lack thereof. Failure to accept Jesus as your savior will ensure you will have to pay for your sins. There is no other option to be with God or be forgiven, Jesus is the only option!
