Once Saved, Always Saved?

Destroying This Disarming Demonic Theology Of Satan!

Please See The Following Study For More Information:

“Jesus: City of Refuge- Part 19” Escape From Babylon Series

Focus Verse: Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”

In this study, we will take a look at salvation and see if the saying is true: “Once Saved, Always Saved.” I will present why this is in fact a lie of the devil to disarm the body of Christ into complacency. Satan wants to destroy any urgency to flee Babylon. And also destroy the urgency to tell others. So, while salvation is a free gift from God, it is what we do after we have received salvation that will determine our true eternal salvation status.

Jesus’ Guide To Salvation

Once Saved Always Saved

Matthew 10:22 “You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.”

Matthew 24:13 “But he that will endure unto the end, the same will be saved.”

Luke 21:19 “By your patience you will gain your souls.”

Revelation 2:10 “Don’t be afraid of the things which you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested; and you will have oppression for ten days. Be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life.”

In “The Parable Of The Sower”, We See The Following Attributes Given To The Good Seeds:

Luke 8:15  “Those in the good ground, these are those who with an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and produce fruit with perseverance.”

John 10:26-28But you refuse to believe because you are not my sheep.  (27)  My sheep listen to my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.  (28)  I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; no one will snatch them from my hand.”

Notice that to receive the promise of eternal life, you must believe, you must hear His voice, and you must follow the Savior.

Luke 13:24-29Exert every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.  (25)  Once the head of the house gets up and shuts the door, then you will stand outside and start to knock on the door and beg him, ‘Lord, let us in!’ But he will answer you, ‘I don’t know where you come from.’  (26)  Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.’  (27)  But he will reply, ‘I don’t know where you come from! Go away from me, all you evildoers!’  (28)  There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but you yourselves thrown out.  (29)  Then people will come from east and west, and from north and south, and take their places at the banquet table in the kingdom of God.”

Revelation 3:5He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”

Let Us Reread Our Focus Verse:

Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”

Once Saved Always Saved

From New Testament Scripture

Once Saved Always Saved

Hebrews 3:6 “But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.”

Hebrews 3:12-14 “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called today; lest any of you hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end.”

Hebrews 6:11-12 + 15 “And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to full assurance of hope unto the end. That you would not be slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. And so. After he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.”

Hebrews 10:35-39 “Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great recompense of reward.  (36)  For you have need of patience, so that after you have done the will of God you might receive the promise.  (37)  For “yet a little while, and He who shall come will come and will not delay.”  (38)  Now, “the Just shall live by faith. But if he draws back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him.”  (39)  But we are not of those withdrawing to destruction, but of those who believe to the preserving of the soul.”

2 Peter 2:19-22 “While they promise them liberty, they themselves are servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. For is after they have escaped the pollution’s of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They are again  entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have know the way of righteousness, then, after they have known it, to turn from the Holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, the dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.”

1 Corinthians 9:24 “Don’t you know that they which run in a race run all, but one receives the prize? So, run that you may obtain.”

The Vanity Of Name Dropping “Jesus”

Once Saved Always Saved

Scriptures Says:

1 Corinthians 15:1-2 “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; By which also you are saved, if you keep in memory what I have preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain.

1 Corinthians 9:27 “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”

The word “castaway” here is the Greek word “Ad-ok’-ee~mos” Which means, “unapproved, rejected, Worthless”.

So, even Paul knew that it was possible to walk away from the promise of our Lord.

Hebrews 6:4-6For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, if they will fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to open shame.

No matter the interpretation this clearly shows that it is possible to fall away from Christ and lose the promise.

Hebrews 10:26-27  “For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins,  (27)  but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which will devour the adversaries.”

Faith VS Works (OR) Faith With Works?

Once Saved Always Saved

Most people want to quote these verses to dismiss works.

Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are you saved through faith; and not of your selves; it is a gift of God. Not of works lest any man should boast.”

Yet, we find in the very next verse they ignore the truth that is told.

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.”

Romans 2:4-10 “Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, and the forbearance and long-suffering, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?  (5)  But according to your hardness and your impenitent heart, do you treasure up wrath for yourself in a day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,  (6)  who will render to each according to his works;  (7)  indeed to those who with patience in good work are seeking for glory, and honor, and incorruptibility, everlasting life.  (8)  But to those who indeed disobeying the truth out of self-seeking, and obeying unrighteousness, will be anger and wrath,  (9)  tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man who has worked out evil; of the Jew first, and also of the Greek.  (10)  But He will give glory, honor and peace to every man who works good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”

James 2:14-26 “What good is it, my brothers, if a man says he has faith, but has no works? Can faith save him?  (15)  And if a brother or sister is naked and in lack of daily food,  (16)  and one of you tells them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled;” and yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it?  (17)  Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.  (18)  Yes, a man will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I by my works will show you my faith.  (19)  You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe, and shudder.  (20)  But do you want to know, vain man, that faith apart from works is dead?  (21)  Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son on the altar?  (22)  You see that faith worked with his works, and by works faith was perfected;  (23)  and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness;” and he was called the friend of God.  (24)  You see then that by works, a man is justified, and not only by faith.  (25)  In the same way, wasn’t Rahab the prostitute also justified by works, in that she received the messengers, and sent them out another way?  (26)  For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead.”

Abraham & Rahab In The Faith Hall Of Fame

Hebrews 11:6-10  “Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.  (7)  By faith, Noah, being warned about things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared a ship for the saving of his house, through which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.  (8)  By faith, Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to the place which he was to receive for an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he went.  (9)  By faith, he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a land not his own, dwelling in tents, with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise.  (10)  For he looked for the city which has the foundations, whose builder and maker is God.”

Hebrews 11:17By faith, Abraham, being tested, offered up Isaac. Yes, he who had gladly received the promises was offering up his one and only son,”

Hebrews 11:31By faith, Rahab the prostitute, didn’t perish with those who were disobedient, having received the spies in peace.”

  • By Faith– Noah: Moved and Prepared (Work)
  • By Faith– Abraham: Went Out + Offered Up Isaac (Work)
  • By Faith– Rahab:  Received and Hid The Spies (Work)

Our Lord & Savior Jesus The Christ Says the Following:

Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”

Luke 6:46-49  “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do what I tell you?  (47)  “Everyone who comes to me and listens to my words and puts them into practice – I will show you what he is like:  (48)  He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep, and laid the foundation on bedrock. When a flood came, the river burst against that house but could not shake it, because it had been well built.  (49)  But the person who hears and does not put my words into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the river burst against that house, it collapsed immediately, and was utterly destroyed!”

Revelation 22:12-14  “Behold, I come quickly. My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work.  (13)  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.  (14)  Blessed are those who do his commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.

Let’s Tackle A Confusing Verse:

Romans 3:27-28 “Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.  (28)  We maintain therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.”

The Effect Of Rebellion & Sin

Once Saved Always Saved

Sin creates separation from God.

Isaiah 59:1-2 “Behold the Lords hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins, have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”

There is no eternal life for sinning, not even in hell.

Roman 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

This was written to believers:

1 John 1:8-9 “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive our selves, and the truth not in us, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Romans 3:23  “for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;”

Qualifying Statement: Malachi 3:6For I, Yahweh, don’t change; therefore you, sons of Jacob, are not consumed.”

1 Chronicles 28:9 “You, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Yahweh searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.”

Deuteronomy 31:16-17 “Yahweh said to Moses, “Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers. This people will rise up, and play the prostitute after the strange gods of the land, where they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.  (17)  Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come on them; so that they will say in that day, ‘Haven’t these evils come on us because our God is not among us?’”

1 Kings 9:6-9  “But if you turn away from following me, you or your children, and not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them;  (7)  then I will cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and I will cast this house, which I have made holy for my name, out of my sight; and Israel will be a proverb and a byword among all peoples.  (8)  Though this house is so high, yet everyone who passes by it will be astonished and hiss; and they will say, ‘Why has Yahweh done this to this land, and to this house?’  (9)  and they will answer, ‘Because they abandoned Yahweh their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold of other gods, and worshiped them, and served them. Therefore Yahweh has brought all this evil on them.’”

Ezra 8:22  “For I was ashamed to ask of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy on the way, because we had spoken to the king, saying, “The hand of our God is on all those who seek him, for good; but his power and his wrath is against all those who forsake him.

Isaiah 1:27-28 “Zion shall be redeemed with justice, and her converts with righteousness.  (28)  But the destruction of transgressors and sinners shall be together, and those who forsake Yahweh shall be consumed.”

Salvation is a free gift of God. That whoever believes in Jesus should not perish but have everlasting life. This is a gift we must receive and be in a constant state of acceptance of. We prove this acceptance through our works that God has given us to do. Always realizing our need for the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Never turning our backs on Him or the promise set before us. God has given us free will to choose. We can accept Him or reject Him. At any time, we can choose to walk away from Him. And He would not force us to be in Heaven with Him. If on earth, we so openly rejected Him before men: “But who ever will deny me before men, him I will also deny before my father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 10:33) But if we choose to walk with Him: “I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father.”  (Revelation 3:5) I encourage you to stay by the Father’s side, and never take for granted His precious blood. I beg you to never allow anyone you know to walk away from the Lord. I will pray for you and all those that the Father loves. That Satan will not have you believe that a place of rejection can still be considered accepting of the promise of Jesus. We must flee Babylon with an earnest haste and not draw back to the Laodicea lukewarm mindset. Stay hard on your assignments, proving your faith through your works. Then and only then will your faith be made perfect through your actions.
