Gender Roles: It is not the genitalia that matters most, it is the spirit God placed into the body that matters. The genitalia represent the “Role” and the “Spirit” of that person that was given by God Himself. Men are given leadership spirits, and women are given fellowship spirits. They are to be in fellowship with the leader in their life. That is why Satan wants to try to reverse engineer the sexual anatomy of people. Satan wants sex changes and sexual emulsification to try to prevent and change God given and clearly assigned spiritual roles. These roles are clearly represented by the reproductive organs given that individual at birth. You cannot change the type of spirit God has assigned to the individual, yet a person’s spirit can become dominated by demonic forces. Which makes their own spirit submit to spiritual, and then sexual perversion. With this in mind, we must start out with God’s original design and a great lie of Satan.

In this study, we go over the extraordinary care and love God requires all men to honor their wives.  Often when covering these types of topics, demonic forces start to cloud the minds of the hearers, polluting their minds with worst case scenarios and past injustices, all in an attempt to breed rebellion against God’s original plan and design. • Adam Gave His Authority Over To The Deception Of Eve.

Genesis 3:6  “When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took some of its fruit, and ate; and she gave some to her husband with her, and he ate it, too.”

As we can clearly see in God’s Holy Word, Adam and Eve had been made from two different source materials (Adam: Earth, and Eve: Man’s Rib), made for two different reasons (Adam: Give God Glory, Eve: Give Adam Glory). Yet in this, there is another layer that has never changed even after the fall of humanity.

Genesis 1:28 “God blessed them. God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Before the fall of humanity, Eve was made to help Adam to subdue the earth, cultivate it, and fill it with children. This has never once changed. Even in perfection, Eve was a helper to Adam. So, when did this paradigm shift?

• It Is Eve’s Punishment For Her Rebellion Against God’s Authority.

Genesis 3:16 “To the woman he said, “I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth. In pain you will bear children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”

A failure to comply with this mandate given by God is not to only further the rebellion of Eve. It is also a rebellion against the original design in earth’s perfect pre-fall state. So no matter how it is viewed, the plan of God has not truly changed from perfection to the fall of creation. It is the call for Eve (women) to follow the leadership of Adam (men) as to prevent further rebellion against God. Men are to value and care for women as Christ has done for the Church. 1 Corinthians 11:3 “But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.”

Ephesians 5:22-24 “Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord,  (23)  because the husband is the head of the wife as also Christ is the head of the church (he himself being the savior of the body).  (24)  But as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.”

Colossians 3:18-21 “Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.  (19)  Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them.  (20)  Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord.  (21)  Fathers, don’t provoke your children, so that they won’t be discouraged.”

• Do Women Get To Ignore Their Husband’s Authority, Even If Their Husband Is Lost Or Rebelling Against God? NO!

1 Peter 3:1-7 “In the same way, wives, be subject to your own husbands. Then, even if some are disobedient to the word, they will be won over without a word by the way you live,  (2)  when they see your pure and reverent conduct.  (3)  Let your beauty not be external – the braiding of hair and wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes –  (4)  but the inner person of the heart, the lasting beauty of a gentle and tranquil spirit, which is precious in God’s sight.  (5)  For in the same way the holy women who hoped in God long ago adorned themselves by being subject to their husbands,  (6)  like Sarah who obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. You become her children when you do what is good and have no fear in doing so.  (7)  Husbands, in the same way, treat your wives with consideration as the weaker partners and show them honor as fellow heirs of the grace of life. In this way nothing will hinder your prayers.”

• As long as leaders are not leading you into sin and rebellion against God we must submit to the authority over us. Even if they are harsh and unloving. This goes the same for kids and their parents, men and their bosses etc.

No, Women Cannot Be Teachers Of Men

For the reasons stated above, concerning that Women and Men are not created equal; Women do not have authority given to them by God over men. On the contrary, Women are told to be under authority to Men.  Therefore, they cannot assume to teach Men.

1 Timothy 2:12 “But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man. She must remain quiet.”

• Women Are Called Not To Speak As Leaders To Men: (This Does Not Mean Plain Speech)

1 Corinthians 14:33-35 “for God is not characterized by disorder but by peace. As in all the churches of the saints, (34)  the women should be silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak. Rather, let them be in submission, as in fact the law says.  (35)  If they want to find out about something, they should ask their husbands at home, because it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in church.”

1 Timothy 2:8-14 “So I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or dispute.  (9)  Likewise the women are to dress in suitable apparel, with modesty and self-control. Their adornment must not be with braided hair and gold or pearls or expensive clothing,  (10)  but with good deeds, as is proper for women who profess reverence for God.  (11)  A woman must learn quietly with all submissiveness.  (12)  But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man. She must remain quiet.  (13)  For Adam was formed first and then Eve.  (14)  And Adam was not deceived, but the woman, because she was fully deceived, fell into transgression.”

• As We Are About To Read, Women Cannot Lead Men. Yet, They Can Pray And Prophecy In The Congregation, When Done In An Orderly Manner Under The Leadership Of Men.

1 Corinthians 11:2-16 “I praise you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions just as I passed them on to you.  (3)  But I want you to know that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ.  (4)  Any man who prays or prophesies with his head covered disgraces his head.  (5)  But any woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered disgraces her head, for it is one and the same thing as having a shaved head.  (6)  For if a woman will not cover her head, she should cut off her hair. But if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, she should cover her head.  (7)  For a man should not have his head covered, since he is the image and glory of God. But the woman is the glory of the man.  (8)  For man did not come from woman, but woman from man.  (9)  Neither was man created for the sake of woman, but woman for man.  (10)  For this reason a woman should have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels.  (11)  In any case, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.  (12)  For just as woman came from man, so man comes through woman. But all things come from God.  (13)  Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?  (14)  Does not nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace for him,  (15)  but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering.  (16)  If anyone intends to quarrel about this, we have no other practice, nor do the churches of God.”

So as we can see, women cannot be teachers of men. The main issue is not if they are smart enough or capable, the issue is spiritual covering and authority. It places the God- guided order, out of order. Plus, imagine a man going to church to submit to a women’s teaching, then going home and trying to have his wife and children submit to his authority. It sets a terrible example for the entire family. The defilement of the spiritual authority and covering is exactly what Satan wants to weaken the Body of Christ.

Yes, Women Can Be Teachers Of Women

Women can start and have ministries, as long as they are not teaching full grown men. Of course, children ministries are okay, as it is in the order of authority. They can have women ministries, but it must be under the headship of the church, which is led by men. So a man must supervise the ministry to assure compliance with God’s way within the church. Then the husband or Dad at home, if they are unmarried.  The order of authority must remain in place. The woman who has a ministry must submit fully to her spiritual head, concerning all teaching and issues. When done correctly, she will remain under the protective covering given by God. Failure to do so will remove this covering, along with its permission to serve God.

Titus 2:3-5 “and that older women likewise be reverent in behavior, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good;  (4)  that they may train the young wives to love their husbands, to love their children,  (5)  to be sober minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that God’s word may not be blasphemed.”

Titus 2:15 – 3:1 “Say these things and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no man despise you. …  Remind them to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,”

One Final Word For Husbands

He who loves his own wife loves himself.  (29)  For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly;  (30)  because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones.  (31)  “For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh.”  (32)  This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly.  (33)  Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.”

No, Unequaled Does Not Mean Inferior

Men and Women are made for two entirely different roles and purposes. Each are superior in their own personal calling of God. Yes, this calling has been determined by God to be represented by our sexes, in turn our sex organs. This clearly displays for all to see the spirit of authority given us. Men are leaders; women are given a spirit of servant fellowship.  For women to be mad about this is the equivalent of men being mad that they don’t have the Jesus position of authority, and Jesus trying to exalt Himself above the authority of God. Likewise for women, kids trying to take the authority from their mom. Let us keep this in mind that with greater authority comes greater judgment from God.

Can you image a shoe getting mad that it wasn’t a pair of pants? These two totally different things that serve two unique purposes are special in their own right.  They need not compete. This is a trick of the devil to get women to destroy their unique and beautiful created purpose. To be dissatisfied with the place given to them by God, and yearn for the fruit of more. The devil does not want women to expand their own unique gifting given them, gifting that men do not have. Instead, the devil baits women to declare an unreachable equality with men. Declare themselves as good as men, and as capable as men. What these women fail to realize is that this declaration is actually showing that men are the standard, that men are what they think they should be compared to. And what many think they should become. How silly is this? If the devil can get women to forsake their own beauty, gifts, and sacred power willingly, all in a pointless attempt to be something they are not, then the devil has destroyed what makes women better than men. What men could never be or achieve. Now that is some trick.
