Demons

Do Demons Know Your Name?

Do Demons Know Your Name? What a strange and provocative question. Most Christians, feeling weak and unprepared for real spiritual conflict, shrink in their seats at the thought of it. Timidity and fear strike the hearts of the lukewarm. Neither fit for the Kingdom of God, nor a light in the world. They are of so little consequence that the Devil and his demons don’t even know their names. While provocative to ask, “Do Demons know your name?” It is of major consequence how it is answered. Your salvation could very well be ascertained with this very simple question.

DEMONNAMES

Do Demons Know Your Name?

“And God did works of power through the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons from his skin being brought onto the sick, the diseases were released, and the evil spirits went out of them. And certain from the strolling Jews, exorcists, undertook to name the name of the Lord Jesus over those having evil spirits, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches. And there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. But answering the evil spirit said, Jesus I know, and I comprehend Paul, but who are you? And the man in whom the evil spirit resided leaped on them, and overcoming them he was strong against them, so that they fled out of the house naked and wounded.” (Acts 19:11-16)

IF Demons Don’t know Your Name, I can guarantee you:

Jesus doesn’t know your name either.

“Not everyone who says to Me, Lord! Lord! shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord! Lord! Did we not prophesy in Your name, and through Your name throw out demons, and through Your name do many wonderful works? And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, those working lawlessness!” (Matthew 7:21-23)

We are built for battle, meant for conflict. We have a Father who sends His children out to war. Our Lord requires us to endure tribulation and persecution. We are not our own, we are purchased by the Blood of Jesus. We don’t have a say over our lives and we don’t get to pick our assignments for the Kingdom of Heaven. We live under the mandate of obedience to the throne.

That being said, we are so precious and valuable to our God and Lord, that we must remember what God says about His children. So, let us remember now!

*Those called by Jesus’ Name as Children of God, are called these following titles and sayings. If God calls you buy these titles, you better believe the Demons know your name. I hope to instill in your hearts and minds not only your value, but also your calling before God. I pray this convinces you all to run out of the world system, and fulfill your God-given calling and purpose.  You are made to stand outside the crowd, to be weird and strange to the world. To not follow the crowd, or the worlds way of doing things. You are meant to be a threat to the Demons that control this place, and for your name to be spoken alongside that of your Saviors.

Do Demons Know Your Name?

  • THE REMNANT

“And the dragon was enraged over the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Revelation 12:17)

  • PECULIAR PEOPLE

“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live discreetly, righteously and godly, in this present world, looking for the blessed hope, and the appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify to Himself a special people, zealous of good works. Speak these things, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.” (Titus 2:11-15)

  • SPECIAL

“Who gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify to Himself a special people, zealous of good works.” (Titus 2:14)

  • NOT OF THIS WORLD

“And now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world that they might have My joy fulfilled in them. I have given them Your Word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not pray for You to take them out of the world, but for You to keep them from the evil.” (John 17:13-15)

  • BEYOND THIS WORLD

“And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah; also David, and Samuel and the prophets, who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the strangers. Women received their dead raised to life again, and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings; yes, more, of bonds and imprisonments. They were stoned, they were sawed in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented. The world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains and dens and caves of the earth. And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, did not receive the promise, for God had provided some better thing for us, that they should not be made perfect without us.” (Hebrews 11:32-40)

  • A RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE

“The sun will no more be your light by day; nor the brightness of the moon give light to you; but Jehovah will be to you for everlasting light, and your God your glory. Your sun will no more go down, nor your moon withdraw; for Jehovah will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning will be ended. Your people also will all be righteous; they will inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, so that I may be glorified. A little one will become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I Jehovah will hasten it in its time.” (Isaiah 60:19-22)

  • WORTHY / CHILDREN OF GOD

“And answering, Jesus said to them, The sons of this world marry and are given in marriage, but they who shall be counted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage. Nor can they die any more, for they are equal to the angels, and are the sons of God, being the sons of the resurrection.” (Luke 20:34-36)

“But faith coming, we are no longer under a trainer. For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many as were baptized into Christ, you put on Christ. There cannot be Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is no male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:25-29)

  • CHOSEN / ROYAL PRIESTHOOD / HOLY NATION

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for possession, so that you might speak of the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; you who then were not a people, but now the people of God, those not pitied then, but now pitied. Dearly beloved, I exhort you as temporary residents and pilgrims to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, having your conduct honest among the nations, in that which they speak against you as evildoers, they may glorify God in a day of His visitation, seeing your good works.” (1 Peter 2:9-12)

  • MARKED

“And the glory of the God of Israel had gone on from the cherub, where it was on it, to the threshold of the house. And He called to the man clothed in linen, with the writer’s inkhorn by his side. And Jehovah said to him, Go through in the midst of the city, in the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men who are groaning and are mourning because of all the abominations that are done in her midst.” (Ezekiel 9:3-4)

  • SEALED

“And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, saying, Do not hurt the earth or the sea or the trees until we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.” (Revelation 7:2-3)

“And they were commanded not to hurt the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God in their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months. And their torment was like a scorpion’s torment when he stings a man. And in those days men will seek death and will not find it. And they will long to die, and death will flee from them.” (Revelation 9:4-6)

  • HATED

“And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations. But whenever they lead you away and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what you should speak or think. But speak whatever shall be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speaks, but the Holy Spirit. And a brother will betray a brother to death, and a father his son. And children will rise up against their parents and will cause them to be put to death. And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake, but he enduring to the end, that one will be kept safe.” (Mark 13:10-13)

  • REMEMBERED

“Blessed is the Lord, the God of Israel, for He has visited and redeemed His people and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David, as He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from eternity; that we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us, to perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember His holy covenant, the oath which He swore to our father Abraham, that He would grant to us, that we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.” (Luke 1:68-75)

  • GOD’S TREASURE

“Then those fearing Jehovah spoke together, each man to his neighbor. And Jehovah listened and heard. And a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared Jehovah, and for those esteeming His name. And they shall be Mine, says Jehovah of Hosts, for the day that I will make up My treasure. And I will pity them as a man has pity on his son who serves him. Then you shall again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God, and him who does not serve Him.” (Malachi 3:16-18)

  • SOUGHT AFTER

For Yahweh’s eyes run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him…” (2 Chronicles 16:9)

  • OBEDIENT

“He, in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and petitions with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear, though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered. Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of eternal salvation, named by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.” (Hebrews 5:7-10)

  • SPIRITUAL HOUSE

“You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 2:5)

“But Christ is faithful as a Son over his house; whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.” (Hebrews 3:6)

  • TEMPLE OF GOD

“Don’t you know that you are a temple of God, and that God’s Spirit lives in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16)

Do Demons Know Your Name?

Are you willing to be all these things, and dedicate your life fully to God? Or, are you still trying to see what you can get away with? We cannot try to steal blessings from God AND the favor of the world. Both hands must be to the plow. This does not take days, years, or decades. It takes one moment of clear decision making ability.

“I choose God & obedience!”

OR

“I love the world more than God!”

Our actions reveal our choice. So let’s save our words.

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life? For the Son of Man will come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will render to everyone according to his deeds.” (Matthew 16:24-27)

“I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8)

Will You Be The One?

If you are all the things above, then the Demons DO know your name.

So, it’s time to stop playing games with God and prepare for battle!

“Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.” (Ephesians 6:10-13)

“You therefore must endure hardship, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier. Also, if anyone competes in athletics, he isn’t crowned unless he has competed by the rules.” (2 Timothy 2:3-5)

  • D O N’ T

“Don’t give place to the devil.” (Ephesians 4:27)

“Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” (Ephesians 4:30)

  • W A R N I N G

“For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb, “The dog turns to his own vomit again,” and “the sow that has washed to wallowing in the mire.” (2 Peter 2:21-22)

“So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God. Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror; for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom, and continues, not being a hearer who forgets, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.” (James 1:19-25)
