Nehemiah 9:16-17 “But they and our fathers behaved proudly, hardened their neck, didn’t listen to your commandments,  (17)  and refused to obey. They weren’t mindful of your wonders that you did among them, but hardened their neck, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage. But you are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and didn’t forsake them.”

Psalms 145:7-10 “They will utter the memory of your great goodness, and will sing of your righteousness.  (8)  Yahweh is gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and of great loving kindness.  (9)  Yahweh is good to all. 2 Peter 3:8 “But don’t forget this one thing, beloved, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

God is working exceptionally fast.

  • PATIENCE: In The End, Builds Love For God As We Learn To Hope In Him.

Romans 5:2-5 “Through Him we also have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice on the hope of the glory of God.  (3)  And not only this, but we glory in afflictions also, knowing that afflictions work out patience,  (4)  and patience works out experience, and experience works out hope.  (5)  And hope does not make us ashamed, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit given to us.”

  • PATIENCE:  Reveals God & Allows Us To Know Him.

Psalms 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.”

  • PATIENCE:  Releases God’s Full Blessing Upon Us.

  • PATIENCE:  Is The Righteous Response To Our Calling.

Colossians 3:12  “Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender feelings of mercy, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering,”

  • We Seek God Asking Him Not To Delay.

Psalms 40:16-17 “Let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you. Let such as love your salvation say continually, “Let Yahweh be exalted!”  (17)  But I am poor and needy. May the Lord think about me. You are my help and my deliverer. Don’t delay, my God.”

  • Then We Should Not Make God Wait Upon Us. Do What God Requires Of You.

Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 “When you vow a vow to God, don’t defer to pay it; for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay that which you vow.  (5)  It is better that you should not vow, than that you should vow and not pay.”

  • A Perfect Example Of The Right Attitude.

Ezra 7:21-23  “I, even I Artaxerxes the king, make a decree to all the treasurers who are beyond the River, that whatever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, requires of you, it shall be done with all diligence,  (22)  up to one hundred talents of silver, and to one hundred cors of wheat, and to one hundred baths of wine, and to one hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribing how much.  (23)  Whatever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be done exactly for the house of the God of heaven; for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?”

Psalms 52:6-9 “And the righteous shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him, saying,  (7)  Behold, the man who did not make God his strength, but trusted in the abundance of his riches, he was strong in his wickedness.  (8)  But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.  (9)  I will praise You forever, because You have done it; and I will wait on Your name; for it is good before Your saints.”

1 Timothy 6:11-12  “But you, O man of God, flee these things and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness.  (12)  Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold on eternal life, to which you are also called and have professed a good profession before many witnesses.”

2 Peter 1:5-8  “But also in this very thing, bringing in all diligence, filling out your faith with virtue, and with virtue, knowledge;  (6)  and with knowledge self-control, and with self-control, patience, and with patience, godliness,  (7)  and with godliness, brotherly kindness, and with brotherly kindness, love.  (8)  For if these things are in you and abound, they make you to be neither idle nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Revelation 14:12 “Here is the patience of the saints. Here are the ones who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.”

Luke 8:15 “But those on the good ground are the ones who, in an honest and good heart, having heard the Word, keep it and bring forth fruit with patience.”

Romans 2:5-7 “But according to your hardness and your impenitent heart, do you treasure up wrath for yourself in a day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,  (6)  who will render to each according to his works;  (7)  indeed to those who with patience in good work are seeking for glory, and honor, and incorruptibility, everlasting life.”

Psalms 123:1-4 “To you I do lift up my eyes, you who sit in the heavens.  (2)  Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress; so our eyes look to Yahweh, our God, until he has mercy on us.  (3)  Have mercy on us, Yahweh, have mercy on us, for we have endured much contempt.  (4)  Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scoffing of those who are at ease, with the contempt of the proud.”

Psalms 25:20-22 “Oh keep my soul, and deliver me. Let me not be disappointed, for I take refuge in you.  (21)  Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for you.  (22)  Redeem Israel, God, out of all his troubles.”

1 Thessalonians 1:2-4  “We give thanks to God for you always, making mention of you in our prayers,  (3)  remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father,  (4)  knowing, beloved brothers, your election of God.”

Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.  (3)  If you, Yah, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?  (4)  But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are feared.  (5)  I wait for Yahweh. My soul waits. I hope in hi s word.  (6)  My soul longs for the Lord more than watchmen long for the morning; more than watchmen for the morning.”

Colossians 1:9-12  “For this cause we also, since the day we heard, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,  (10)  that you might walk worthy of the Lord to all pleasing, being fruitful in every work and increasing in the knowledge of God,  (11)  being empowered with all power, according to the might of His glory, to all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness,  (12)  giving thanks to the Father, who has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.”

Psalms 106:7-15 “Our fathers didn’t understand your wonders in Egypt. They didn’t remember the multitude of your loving kindnesses, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.  (8)  Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power known.  (9)  He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up; so he led them through the depths, as through a desert.  (10)  He saved them from the hand of him who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.  (11)  The waters covered their adversaries. There was not one of them left.  (12)  Then they believed his words. They sang his praise.  (13)  They soon forgot his works. They didn’t wait for his counsel,  (14)  but gave in to craving in the desert, and tested God in the wasteland.  (15)  He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.” See: 1 Samuel 13:8-14

Psalms 33:18-22  “Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his loving kindness;  (19)  to deliver their soul from death, to keep them alive in famine.  (20)  Our soul has waited for Yahweh. He is our help and our shield.  (21)  For our heart rejoices in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.  (22)  Let your loving kindness be on us, Yahweh, since we have hoped in you.”

Psalms 145:13-20 “Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. Your dominion endures throughout all generations. Yahweh is faithful in all his words, and loving in all his deeds.  (14)  Yahweh upholds all who fall, and raises up all those who are bowed down.  (15)  The eyes of all wait for you. You give them their food in due season.  (16)  You open your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing.  (17)  Yahweh is righteous in all his ways, and gracious in all his works.  (18)  Yahweh is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.  (19)  He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him. He also will hear their cry, and will save them.  (20)  Yahweh preserves all those who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.”

Psalms 69:1-18 “Save me, God, for the waters have come up to my neck!  (2)  I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold. I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.  (3)  I am weary with my crying. My throat is dry. My eyes fail, looking for my God.  (4)  Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head. Those who want to cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty. I have to restore what I didn’t take away.  (5)  God, you know my foolishness. My sins aren’t hidden from you.  (6)  Don’t let those who wait for you be shamed through me, Lord Yahweh of Armies. Don’t let those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, God of Israel.  (7)  Because for your sake, I have borne reproach. Shame has covered my face.  (8)  I have become a stranger to my brothers, an alien to my mother’s children.  (9)  For the zeal of your house consumes me. The reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.  (10)  When I wept and I fasted, that was to my reproach.  (11)  When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became a byword to them.  (12)  Those who sit in the gate talk about me. I am the song of the drunkards.  (13)  But as for me, my prayer is to you, Yahweh, in an acceptable time. God, in the abundance of your loving kindness, answer me in the truth of your salvation.  (14)  Deliver me out of the mire, and don’t let me sink. Let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters.  (15)  Don’t let the flood waters overwhelm me, neither let the deep swallow me up. Don’t let the pit shut its mouth on me.  (16)  Answer me, Yahweh, for your loving kindness is good. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, turn to me.  (17)  Don’t hide your face from your servant, for I am in distress. Answer me speedily!  (18)  Draw near to my soul, and redeem it. Ransom me because of my enemies.”

Psalms 25:1-6 “By David. To you, Yahweh, do I lift up my soul.  (2)  My God, I have trusted in you. Don’t let me be shamed. Don’t let my enemies triumph over me.  (3)  Yes, no one who waits for you shall be shamed. They shall be shamed who deal treacherously without cause.  (4)  Show me your ways, Yahweh. Teach me your paths.  (5)  Guide me in your truth, and teach me, For you are the God of my salvation, I wait for you all day long.  (6)  Yahweh, remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness, for they are from old times.”

Yahweh has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.”

Isaiah 64:1-4  “Oh, that You would tear the heavens open, come down, that mountains shall shake before You –  (2)  as when fire burns twigs, as fire makes water boil – to make Your Name known to Your adversaries, so that nations tremble before You.  (3)  When You did awesome matters, which we did not expect, You came down, mountains did shake before You!  (4)  Since the beginning of the ages they have not heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen any Elohim besides You, who acts for those who wait for Him.”

When he hears you, he will answer you.  (20)  Though the Lord may give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers won’t be hidden any more, but your eyes will see your teachers;  (21)  and when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way. Walk in it.”

Let him be filled full of reproach.  (31)  For the Lord will not cast off forever.  (32)  For though he causes grief, yet he will have compassion according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.  (33)  For he does not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men.”

Micah 7:7-10 “But as for me, I will look to Yahweh. I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.  (8)  Don’t rejoice against me, my enemy. When I fall, I will arise. When I sit in darkness, Yahweh will be a light to me.  (9)  I will bear the indignation of Yahweh, because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my case, and executes judgment for me. He will bring me out to the light. I will see his righteousness.  (10)  Then my enemy will see it, and shame will cover her who said to me, where is Yahweh your God?
